Description

Even more inhabitants of my mind’s dreamscape

-A crab whose eyes are located on the side of its body to better see in the direction it’s going. The pincer further away from the eyes has elongated into a segmented tentacle that coils forward below its hindlimbs.
-These owl-like predatory insects prey on the much larger two-headed wildebeests in their sleep. Should their prey wake up, they pet their fur to lull them back to sleep so they can resume their feast. Two of their cobalt blue eyes are located on stalks to allow for a wider field of vision.
-A stalk-eyed monopedal reptomollusk with funnel-like jaw to envelop small prey and protective dorsal body armor akin to crocodiles.
-Despite being pets, these tapirs are actually not particularly house-trained and like to relieve themselves on furniture.
-The ruin-dwelling surirats might not be particularly big but they make up for it with their vicious temper... Even a single individual can cause some serious damage but an entire swarm is able to completely shred a grown human in a matter of seconds. The fact that they are extremely mutable and oftentimes possess multiple heads only adds to their snappishness.
-Even though it has lost its head, this bristly dog is still completely functional... albeit lacking almost all senses. Its headless state is no cause for concern as it can detach it on command and later retrieve and re-attach it.
-A pack of such raptors stalk the bamboo and rubber sequoia forests inside a giant building. They share this biosphere with giant gorillas which leads to frequent altercations that often result in death.
-Just a little pig... nothing to see here...
-This bizarre little critter (which was supposed to be a lion) exhibits features of mammals and crocodiles. Its body consists of six ring-like segments attached to a central axis. Each of these segments is equipped with a single leg on alternating sides... Instead of simply lifting its legs in order to take a step, the respective body segment slightly rotates to lift up the leg and lower it again. When in full sprint, this results in a rather wobbly appearance.
-A group of hunters were trying to kill this giant maned dog for its long hair but I managed to chase them off and safe the animal’s life.
-Much like the surirats, these wildebeest seemed to have a disposition to polycephaly. Like the reservoir kangaroos, they had a so-called "water gland" in their neck to see them through the dry season.
-The crimson grape-scorpion uses its dual stingers to punch holes in their soft-shelled prey animals to reach their juicy innards.
-Living high up on the rocky peaks of mountains and plateaus, the fog bearcats are enigmatic animals that are rarely seen. Their light coloration allows them to blend in with the wafts of mists that constantly encase their habitat. despite their bulky appearance, they are nimble hunters that are able to sneek up on prey due to their padded feet.
-The completely black eyeball-ravens are sadistic creatures that like to pop the reservoir kangaroos’ throat sacs. Four glowing red, individually moveable eyes located on their flattened heads are constantly on the lookout for prey, their gaping beaks displaying a glowing gullet filled with needle-like teeth.
-Having managed to survive the urbanization of their habitat, these sabertooth cats now stalk the alleyways and rooftops in search for a quick meal.
Due to their similarity to regular kittens, their young are often confused as such which can lead to some hairy situations...
-To combat the long-lasting dry periods, the reservoir kangaroos store large amounts of water in their transparent throat sacs. Their water glands are constantly kept wet by the stored water to prevent it from drying out.
-These flying monstrosities terrorized the inhabitants of a giant arcology at night
