Well... I didn’t get accepted to Zurich so I can now upload this with good conscience. It is my first time ever painting digitally like this so I’m still pretty happy with the outcome. I was going for a sort of field-guide-esque semi-sketchy approach to add a bit of character to it...
The one for Lucerne (which is my second time painting digitally in such a manner) already looks a lot better though so despite this setback, I am still full of confidence... I’ll upload that one too once I get an answer from the school.

© by me

ps: I’ll probably translate this into English once I’m done with the piece for Lucerne so don’t worry about not being able to read it just yet.
pps: guy on the left is a bald version of myself

Bonobo males have an unfair rap as being soft just because they aren't dominant over females, sure females eat first, sure female bonobos put up an impressive defence against aggressive males, and avoid letting males dominate them, but this doesn't mean males are submissive to females either. Many troops have a Female lead for decades and then a male climb the ladder and become designated leader. Provided a male stays on the good side of the females, he can sometimes become leader and eat first. Males do sometimes decide where the troop moves to and actively fight off predators such as pythons and leopards. Unlike other male apes, however, he respects females and sees them as his equals. He usually makes sure everyone eats first. Male bonobos are nice, but this doesn't make them soft or make them doormats.
