Monopedal aliens

Here we see some of the inhabitants of a distant super-earth as big as Jupiter. To the human eye, these gargantuan creatures seem almost stationary and immobile as they move very slowly over the barren ground of their homeworld. Despite having what appears to be a single leg, these animals do not move by hopping. Instead, they move by sliding along on their muscular foot similar to Terran land snails.
