Tyrannorhinella rex

Description

"T-Rex doesn't want to be fed. He wants to hunt. Can't just suppress 65 million years of gut instinct."

This extraordinary beast is the result of years of trial and failure. The first specimens - spliced with frog DNA - exhibited many physical deformations, could not leave the water for too long and all died before hatching or a couple of days after. The second breed was more successful but the specimens still couldn’t leave the water for too long and only grew up to be one meter in length.
The first successful specimen was bred when they changed the frog DNA to the DNA of cane toads. The first breed of these hybrids reached a hip height of 2 meters - unsuitable to represent such an iconic predator. After adding growth-enhancing genes to a new breed, the tyrannorhinella began growing to extraordinary sizes - some even surpassed the size of tyrannosaurus rex.
